این دژ باستانی که از زمان مادها به جای مانده، یکی از ۲۰ قلعه تاریخی این منطقه بشمار می‌رود و ظاهر بسیار عجیبی دارد. مردم زنجان از این مکان دیدنی با عنوان قلعه دیو یاد می‌کنند زیرا آنها اعتقاد دارند که در گذشته دیو‌ها روی تخته‌سنگ‌های بالای قلعه استراحت می‌کردند.
