Lake Zarivar

Lake Zarivar (in Farsi) or Zaribar (in Kurdish) in Marivan is one of the tourist spots of Kurdistan province. The lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Iran and is considered one of the most famous and beautiful natural attractions in the west of the country. The water of Zarivar lake is supplied from the boiling springs located at its bottom, as well as rainwater and snow. Due to its suitable conditions, this wetland welcomes various plants and animals, and bird watching and fishing activities flourish in it
