Shiraz Gate, Isfahan

Shiraz Gate (now known as Azadi Square) was the southernmost point of the city of Isfahan in the olden days, which was located at the end of the four upper gardens. In fact, this place was the end of the city and the beginning of the crossing road to the south of the country and Shiraz, which is why it is called the gate of Shiraz. In front of that Tehran gate which was the beginning of the road to the north and Tehran. Today, in its place, there is a square called Azadi Square.
