Qari Bridge in Tabriz

Qari Bridge in Tabriz

Qari Bridge or “Qari Korpusi” in Turkish is considered one of the historical and scenic bridges in Tabriz and it was built on Shiqa al-Islam Street, on the river “Mehrane Rood” (which the people of Tabriz also call Ghori Chai). This bridge is 100 meters long and 5 meters wide. It is said that the founder of the construction of this bridge was an old woman who spent her Hajj money to build the bridge, and for this reason, they named it Qari Bridge (which means old or old woman in Turkish).
