Urmia Grand Mosque

The Grand Mosque of Urmia is located near the Urmia market and belongs to the 7th century AH and the Ilkhanate period. The nave of the mosque is considered its oldest part and dates back to the Seljuk period. The mihrab of this mosque is also considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art of the Mughal period in terms of stucco, and its decorations include beautiful geometric patterns, an inscription in Kufic script, arches and crowns.
