Yazd Grand Mosque

Jame Mosque of Yazd is like a porch in the heart of the desert and was built during about 1000 years and three periods. The main foundations of the mosque were laid on a fire temple during the Sassanid era, but after Islam, it was completed as a mosque during the Ilkhanid and Timurid periods. The dome building belongs to the Ilkhani period and the upper door of the mosque has been considered to belong to the time of Shahrukh and the Timurid period. This building is famous for its dome, lofty and long pediment, as well as beautiful and unique tiling
